Welcome to the very first Art & Storytelling event; where we bring stories to life through art.

A fun and meaningful way to explore your creativity while learning about the stories and teachings of various traditions.

To begin, I wanted to honor the art and culture of First Nations People of Canada and so I invited Tyrel Bruyere to share his knowedge of the 7 Sacred Teachings while I guide the group step by step through the creation of an art piece relative to the story & Teachings.

About the Storyteller:

Born and raised in Couchiching First Nation, an Anishinaabe community in Northwestern Ontario, Tyrel was immersed in his Culture and learned Traditional Knowledge, such as Storytelling, Sweat Lodge, and living in alignment with the land through hunting and fishing, as well as the gathering of plant medicines and various kinds of wild fruits a vegetation.
